Which moving service you need, and when
People often think of a moving service as just a vehicle, but the result of a move depends on how the process is organised, not on the truck. When Yük.az takes an order, we confirm the volume of the cargo, the floor, whether there is a lift and the distance — the price is calculated from exactly this information and does not change afterwards.
Home moving is the most requested service in Baku. The crew arrives with packing materials: furniture is dismantled, glass and mirror surfaces are covered with bubble wrap, and upholstered furniture is wrapped in stretch film. At the new address belongings are placed in the right rooms and the furniture is reassembled — the move does not end with unloading.
In office moving the main risk is documents and equipment getting mixed up. Boxes are numbered by department, computer and server equipment is packed separately, and the work is usually scheduled for the evening or the weekend so the company keeps running.
Sometimes a full move is not needed — just a sofa, a fridge or a washing machine. In that case the item transport rate applies: a van that fits the load is assigned and carrying up to your floor is included in the price.
Safes, pianos, machinery and aquariums are a separate category. For special cargo transport straps, trolleys and ramps are assigned, and the crew is made up of loaders trained to handle heavy loads. If a vehicle or container needs to be moved, the tow truck service is used.
Dismantling and assembling furniture, installing an air conditioner or hanging wall shelves can also be ordered separately — the handyman service works independently of moving.
