Why heavy and fragile cargo needs a separate approach
Safes, pianos, machine tools, aquariums and large furniture with glass surfaces are not ordinary cargo: both the weight and the risk of damage are high. That is why special cargo transport is set up as a separate service — doing this job with a standard crew and an ordinary trolley is both dangerous and expensive.
The work starts with a description of the load. The operator asks about the weight, overall dimensions, floor, whether there is a lift and the width of the staircase. Without this information it is impossible to determine which equipment is needed — a hydraulic trolley, dollies, a ramp or an extra crew. In some cases a preliminary visit to the address is arranged.
The packing is different too. For a piano, the keyboard section and legs are protected separately, soft material is fixed to the corners of a safe, and an aquarium is transported fully emptied and dried. In the truck body the load is secured with straps so it does not slide or tip over on the way.
This service works for both apartments and production sites: machine tools, industrial equipment and server cabinets are also in this category. If it is needed as part of an office relocation, it is planned together with office moving. If a vehicle or container is to be transported, the evacuation service applies.
